Olympic Officials, CBS Sign Contract For 1994 Winter Games
LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) _ Olympic officials Tuesday signed a previously announced contract with CBS- TV that awards the American network exclusive U.S. broadcasting rights at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway, for $300 million.
CBS already has the U.S. TV rights for the 1992 Winter Games in Albertville, France.
International Olympic Committee president Juan Antonio Samaranch chaired the signing ceremony at IOC headquarters in Lausanne. Other signers were Arne Myhrvold, vice president of the Lillehammer Olympic Organizing Committee, and Neal Pilson, president of CBS Sports.
