Watch as Milwaukee Brewers players reenact scene from ‘Sandlot’
A group of Milwaukee Brewers players acted out a near shot-for-shot remake of a scene from “The Sandlot” in honor of the baseball film’s 25th anniversary.
The video, which features Brewers catcher Stephen Vogt playing Hamilton “Ham” Porter, was posted Sunday night on the team’s official Twitter account.
Vogt, recreating the character played by actor Patrick Renna, hits the ball over the outfield fence, prompting jeers from the other players and leading to Brett Phillips, as Scotty Smalls, trying to climb the fence before he’s pulled down by the other players.
In addition to the players, the video also features a cameo by a canine familiar to Brewers fans. Check it out below.
The full cast of Brewers players is as follows:
Christian Yelich − Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez (Originally played by Mike Vitar)
Brett Phillips − Scotty Smalls (Tom Guiry)
