Bills linebacker Manny Lawson cleared for practice
PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo Bills linebacker Manny Lawson has been cleared to practice after missing the first two weeks of training camp with a partially torn pectoral muscle.
The Bills announced that Lawson passed his physical and will participate in practice on Tuesday. The 10-year NFL veteran was hurt while lifting weights last month and opened camp on the active/non-football injury list.
Lawson’s return is welcome news for the Bills, whose outside linebacker depth was depleted by injuries. Projected starter and rookie first-round pick Shaq Lawson had shoulder surgery in May and is expected to miss at least the first month of the season.
Buffalo placed backup IK Enemkpali on waived/injured Monday, two days after he tore a ligament in his right knee in a preseason-opening 19-18 loss to Indianapolis. The Bills then signed eighth-year linebacker Kroy Biermann.
