Hinckley man charged with burglary, theft
KANEVILLE – A Hinckley man has been charged with burglary after an incident April 11 on Perry Road in Kaneville Township.
According to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, Nicholas Bower, 32, of the 100 block of Oat Street in Hinckley, was involved in a home burglary.
At 12:15 p.m. April 11, Kane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a residential burglary on Perry Road in unincorporated Kaneville Township, the release said.
The homeowner was alerted by his home security system that a person had entered his residence.
Using security footage from the homeowner’s cameras, deputies identified the suspect as Bower, and subsequently located him at a residence in the 200 block of Chamberlain Drive, DeKalb, where he was taken into custody, the report shows.
Kane County deputies retrieved a safe and other items stolen from the Kaneville home, and charged Bower with residential burglary and theft, according to the report.
