Ashburnham Woman Charged with Killing Brandon Chicklis
GARDNER -- An Ashburnham woman was arrested Monday and charged for the homicide death of Brandon Chicklis, said Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early.
Julia Enright, 21, of Ashburnham, was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon at Winchendon District Court, which is located in the Gardner Courthouse.
“It’s our belief that Mr. Chicklis, who would have turned 21 years old today, was killed in Ashburnham and his body was taken to New Hampshire and left by the side of Route 119 where his body was later discovered,” Early read in a statement delivered outside the courthouse before her arraignment.
Chickis left Westminster for Windham, N.H. on June 23. His car was found in Rindge on June 29 and his body was discovered by a jogger on July 10.
Enright was arrested at her family’s home at 171 Packard Hill Road in Ashburnham, he said.
Chicklis’s phone records placed him at that address on June 24, Early said.
After gathering evidence form the scene and interviews, State Police and Ashburnham Police arrested Enright, he said.
The Sentinel & Enterprise reported that a July 18 search of a pond near Park Hill Road was related to Chicklis’s murder investigation.
Enright was a Monty Tech classmate of Chicklis.
