BARCELONA, Spain (AP) — Barcelona and youth team player Rafael "Rafinha" Alcantara, brother of Thiago, have agreed to extend his contract by two years to 2016.

Barcelona says Rafinha's buyout clause is 30 million euros ($39 million).

The 20-year-old midfielder scored 10 goals in 36 appearances for Barcelona B in Spain's second division last season.

His brother Thiago plays for Barcelona's first team and has been linked to a move to Manchester United after his buyout clause fell to 18 million euros ($23.5 million) because he didn't play in 60 percent of Barcelona's games last season as stipulated in his contract.
