Reno police seek silver RAM 1500 pickup in fatal hit-and-run

October 10, 2019

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno police have released a new description of the pickup truck that fled the scene after striking and killing a man who was lying in the middle of a street near downtown about two weeks ago.

Police said Thursday a review of surveillance tape in the area shows what appears to be a silver RAM 1500 Express Cab with a bed liner. It’s likely a model year from 2013-2018.

Police emphasized they don’t believe the driver was at fault, but they’d like to talk to the person.

Witnesses told police 38-year-old Travis Stratton laid down in the middle of Fourth Street near Evans Avenue before he was hit at about 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information should contact police at 775-334-2141 or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
