Jacobs Engineering: Fiscal 4Q Earnings Snapshot
DALLAS (AP) _ Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (JEC) on Monday reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $142.3 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Dallas-based company said it had net income of $1.04 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.48 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.28 per share.
The construction and technical services company posted revenue of $3.39 billion in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $3.31 billion.
For the year, the company reported profit of $848 million, or $6.08 per share. Revenue was reported as $12.74 billion.
Jacobs Engineering shares have increased 60% since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index has risen 24%. The stock has risen 44% in the last 12 months.
