Warming trend for Sunday, Monday will be short-lived
Spring weather is in bloom again on Monday, when temperatures will top out in the 70s.
“The warm temperatures hold on for another day,” said WRAL meteorologist Kat Campbell. “But in the afternoon, that’s when the chance for some showers arises.”
Temperatures will remain mild overnight and into Monday, hovering in the 50s, before a warm start to the work week. Temperatures will be in the low 50s for the morning commute and in the mid to upper 60s after noon.
By late Monday evening, a chance for rain returns for the Triangle.
On Tuesday, it will be cold again, with a low in the low 30s and a high in the low 50s. According to Campbell, Tuesday will be the coldest, rainiest day of the week.
The sun will reemerge for Wednesday, but highs will stay in the 50s.
Later in the work week, pleasant spring temperatures should return, with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. More rain will be unlikely.
