Comcast says it will reclassify certain shares

NEW YORK (AP) — Comcast said Thursday that it will reclassify certain shares this week after it received shareholder approval to do so.

The media and cable company said that each share of Comcast Class A special common, which trades on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the ticker symbol “CMCSK,” will be reclassified as one Class A common stock. Class A common stock trades under the symbol “CMCSA.”

Philadelphia-based Comcast Corp. said the reclassification will occur on Dec. 11 and the Class A special common stocks will no longer trade.
