Stoughton names Doug Kraft as boys hockey coach

June 28, 2018

Doug Kraft has been named Stoughton boys hockey coach, Stoughton athletic director Mel Dow said Wednesday.

Kraft has spent more than seven years with the Beaver Dam co-op program, Dow said.

Kraft’s involvement in Beaver Dam included as an assistant with the high school program and working with the developmental program, where he led the Bantam A team to back-to-back state championships (2017 and 2018), Dow said.

Kraft’s experience, his ideas to develop youth level hockey to support the high school program and his passion for ice hockey were factors in his selection, Dow said.

Kraft replaces Kris Rosholt, who resigned his position as boys hockey coach to focus on his growing family.

Beaver Dam was in the Badger Conference for the first time in 2017-18. The Beaver Dam co-op for the next school year includes Beaver Dam, Dodgeland, Horicon, Hustisford and Beaver Dam Wayland Academy.
