Perry Road finally re-opens two days after snowstorm
HINCKLEY – The Perry Road corridor between Hinckley and the DeKalb County line is finally open, more than two days after the county was blanketed with nearly a foot of snow.
The 3-mile-plus stretch was closed midday Monday, because a power line came down along the shoulder of Perry Road.
Chief Deputy Andy Sullivan said the stretch is vital to local residents.
“It’s definitely a thoroughfare,” he said.
ComEd was likely overwhelmed Sullivan said, given the number of incidents it responded to Monday.
