Surgery Partners: 2Q Earnings Snapshot

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (AP) _ Surgery Partners Inc. (SGRY) on Wednesday reported a loss of $32.5 million in its second quarter.

The Brentwood, Tennessee-based company said it had a loss of 86 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, came to 48 cents per share.

The surgical facilities operator posted revenue of $374.7 million in the period.

Surgery Partners shares have increased 2% since the beginning of the year. The stock has more than doubled in the last 12 months.
