Tulsa’s Bill Hader looks to join Anna Kendrick in Disney Christmas movie
It looks like Tulsa actor Bill Hader is getting into the holiday spirit and joining an upcoming Christmas movie from Disney.
The Cascia Hall graduate would co-star with Anna Kendrick (the “Pitch Perfect” movies) and play her brother in a female Santa Claus movie titled “Nicole,” according to Variety.
The brief storyline at this point: Kendrick plays the daughter of Santa Claus, who is retiring, and she must assume his duties when it turns out her brother (Hader) can’t handle the reins on Christmas Eve.
Hader has increasingly been working with Disney on films ever since leaving his decade of work for “Saturday Night Live.”
He has appeared in “The BFG” for the studio, as well as provided voice work for “Inside Out,” “Finding Dory” and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
“Nicole” does not have a start date or release date, but it is to be written and directed by Marc Lawrence, the maker of the “Miss Congeniality” films, Variety reported.
