Letter: Voters can help Congress become more than a ‘silent enabler’
Years ago when baby Jessica fell down an abandoned well, all Americans were glued to their radios until she was rescued. Now, at our border, close to 2,000 children have been taken from their parents and kept in wire enclosures called cages.
Where is the outrage? The worst thing President Trump has done is to dull the conscience of America. Instead of constant reporting on safety in schools, the opioid epidemic, the environment, the dreamers and on and on, the air time is spent on the president’s affairs and the inane uttering of his attorney, Rudy Giuliani.
Convince our young people to vote in November and help Congress become a player again instead of a silent enabler.
