Troopers seek vehicle from Florence fatal hit-and-run

FLORENCE, S.C. -- Troopers are looking for a the hit-and-run vehicle that struck and killed a Timmonsville man on West Palmetto Street early Sunday morning.

Tyshon Johnson, 22, was the pedestrian struck and killed near Ivy Lane, said Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken.

Troopers are looking for a vehicle, possibly silver, that may have damage to the right front and passenger side and which may also be missing a passenger-side mirror cover, said Lance Cpl. Matt Southern, South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The hit-and-run vehicle was last seen west bound on Palmetto Street, heading toward Timmonsville, Southern said.
