Columbus police search for driver after hit and run

Columbus Police are searching for the driver of a car involved in a hit and run Jan. 8.

According to a press release, a car was being backed out of a parking stall at 12:19 p.m. that day and struck a car traveling west on West James Street. The car then fled the area at a high rate of speed, coming very close to striking a pedestrian crossing the street in the 400 block of South Ludington Street while in a crosswalk.

Police are looking for an older tan Buick 4-door car that is missing the front, left hubcap.
