Dine Brands: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) _ Dine Brands Global Inc. (DIN) on Wednesday reported third-quarter earnings of $23.9 million.

On a per-share basis, the Glendale, California-based company said it had profit of $1.36. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.55 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.49 per share.

The parent company of Applebee’s and IHOP restaurants posted revenue of $217.4 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $222.1 million.

Dine Brands expects full-year earnings in the range of $6.75 to $7 per share.

Dine Brands shares have risen nearly 9% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen almost 5% in the last 12 months.
