Church offers cantata
LAUGHLIN — In observance of Holy Week, the Choir of Community Lutheran Church, under the direction of Dean Leuthauser, is presenting the sacred cantata, “Who Do You Say That I Am?” — the same poignant question that Jesus once asked of his followers — featuring the distinctive music and orchestration of Lloyd Larson and Brant Adams.
Because of the public response experienced in previous years the Holy Week Cantata and program is being offered in two performances: Palm Sunday, March 25, at 3 p.m. and again on Good Friday, March 30, at 7 p.m.
Included among the musical portions of the cantata is an inspired narrative which focuses on the observations of six first-hand witnesses to Christ’s final hours: The disciples John and Peter, Mary, Pontius Pilate, Joseph of Arimathea, and Mary Magdalene.
Community Lutheran Church is at 2275 Ricca Road, between North Oatman Road and upper Riverview Drive, Bullhead City. There is no admission fee for the cantata, but freewill offerings are accepted.
