Longmont Police Notes: Man Smoking Pot
Longmont police on Friday responded to the 700 block of Longs Peak Avenue, where a witness observed a man smoking marijuana in public. Police discovered the man was restrained by a protection order from possessing or consuming alcohol or controlled substances. He was arrested for violation of a protection order and taken to jail.
A traffic stop was initiated by Longmont police on Friday, and the driver of the vehicle attempted to elude officers. The vehicle was stopped, and one man was arrested in the incident.
Longmont police responded to an armed robbery the 300 block of Quail Road. No suspects were located. The case will remain open for further investigation.
Officers in Longmont were called to a cold burglary on Friday. Suspect information was limited, and the case was closed.
The Longmont Police Department attempted to contact a suspicious vehicle at 951 17th Ave. The vehicle evaded officers and was later determined to be stolen out of Aurora.
