‘Ceci’s African Kitchen’ Cookbook Signing

Ceci Tadfor will sign copies of her new cookbook, Ceci’s African Kitchen. Before the signing, starting at 10 a.m., she’ll lead a $95 hands-on cooking course featuring specialties from her homeland of Cameroon, West Africa, including peanut soup, black-eye fritters with hot sauce, catfish stew, sautéed spinach with tomato, fried plantains and puff puff with cinnamon sugar.

Wine Dinner with Tablas Creek Winery

Chef Jeffrey Kaplan will present a four-course meal paired with wines from Tablas Creek Vineyard from Paso Robles, Calif. The menu features radicchio and smoked sea scallop salad, roasted local early plum and red chile gazpacho, beer-braised flat-iron steak, and boozy cherry ice cream.

Albuquerque Wine Festival
Noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 25, through Monday, May 27; Balloon Fiesta Park, Albuquerque; one-day passes $25 in advance, $30 at the gate, $50 VIP passes, $10 for nondrinkers and people age 16-20.
The Albuquerque Wine Festival returns for its 19th year, letting you sample (and buy) more than 100 wines from New Mexico wineries. You can also get your fill of live music, local cuisine and fine art and collectables. Tickets include $5 off any bottle of wine.
