Water leak reveals pot grow site in Southern California home

PERRIS, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a water leak revealed a marijuana cultivation site concealed inside a Southern California home.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department says deputies were dispatched Monday when a person in the city of Perris reported they had not seen their neighbor for several days and a steady flow of water coming out of the residence was flooding yards.

The deputies entered the residence to conducted a welfare and didn’t find anyone but did find a large marijuana grow.

The water leak was stopped and search warrant for the residence was obtained.

The department says more than 2,000 marijuana plants were seized.

Perris is about 60 miles east of Los Angeles.
