Authorities identify women killed in East Idaho head-on crash

IDAHO FALLS — Two women are dead after a head-on collision late Saturday afternoon just south of Idaho Falls.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased as Gloria Angell, 80, of Shelley, and Judith Wright, 23, of Idaho Falls.

Angell and Wright were driving separate vehicles that collided head-on around 4:15 p.m. on 15th West near 81st South. They were the lone occupants of their respective vehicles at the time of the crash.

Emergency responders had to extricate both women from their vehicles. Angell was pronounced dead at the scene, while Wright was transported via ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, where she died a short time later.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office has not yet provided further details on the crash.
