Norfolk Catholic’s Piper win Class ‘C’ Shot Put; Norfolk City Athletes excel

Day one of the State Track & Field Championships at Burke Stadium in Omaha are in the books.

Norfolk Catholic’s Ethan Piper is the Class ‘C’ Champion in the Shot Put. He won the event with a throw of 57-08.75. Piper won the event by five inches. Teammate Dylan Kautz has qualified for the 100 & 200 meter dash finals on Saturday. He ran the 100 in 10.70 seconds while recording a time of 22.15 in the 200. Norfolk Catholic’s Carly Marshall qualified for the 300 Meter Hurdles Finals with a time of 49.49 seconds. The Lady Knights’ 3200 Meter Relay team of Abby Miller, Emily Faltys, Jordan Peitz, & Audrey Stelling placed eighth with a time of 10:20.41. Norfolk High’s Connor Clayton got fourth place in the Class ‘A’ Triple Jump with a leap of 43-06.25. The State Track & Field Championships concludes on Saturday. Events resume at 9:30 AM.
