Sarah Huckabee Sanders blasts Dems for infrastructure fight: Bipartisanship ‘doesn’t work that way’
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders knocked Democrats Thursday for their “lunacy” in thinking they can investigate and legislate with the president at the same time.
″[The president] laid out, it’s real simple, you can’t go down two tracks. We’re either going to have to agree that we want to solve problems for the country, that we want to come together and work together or we can fight,“Mrs. Sanders said.
“You can’t literally have a meeting like Nancy Pelosi did yesterday an hour before she got to the White House where she accused the president of a crime, said he had engaged in a cover-up, and then show up like nothing has happened. It just doesn’t work that way.”
She added that “Nancy Pelosi has lost control of her party” and that “Democrats have yet to decide what infrastructure means to them.”
Mr. Trump canceled talks after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Wednesday that Democrats “believe that the president of the United States is engaged in a cover-up.”
A visibly disgusted Mr. Trump responded with an impromptu White House press conference where he said he won’t work with Democrats while they are seeking to impeach him and continue their “phony investigations.”
The president criticized Democrats this morning for trying to get “a Re-Do of the Mueller report” andsaid,“The Democrats have become known as THE DO NOTHING PARTY.”
