Border Patrol arrests Canadian citizen accused of smuggling illegal immigrants across the border
U.S. Border Patrol agents based in Oroville arrested a Canadian citizen earlier this month who is accused of smuggling five illegal immigrants from India into the country.
The five crossed the border near Molson, Washington, and were picked up in a van driven by Canadian Mohammed Khan, according to a Border Patrol news release. The five illegals will appear before an immigration judge who will determine if they can stay in the United States.
Khan is being charged with alien smuggling and will be deported, the news release said. He had no known relationship with the five people from India.
