Darlington County traffic stop ends in drug arrest

TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. -- A lunchtime Friday traffic stop ended with deputies and troopers seizing drugs and pre-paid debit cards.

The stop came as Darlington County Sheriff’s deputies assisted the South Carolina Highway Patrol with a stop at the intersection of Timmonsville Highway and Sally Hill Road, according to a release from the agency.

In the car deputies found more than 50 ecstasy pills, 115 grams of marijuana and several pre-paid debit cards, according to the release.

“Randell Jarrad Toney, 25, of Hartsville, and Antonett Louise Brown-Toney, 28, of Darlington were arrested and will face charges related to the possession of illegal narcotics. Randell Jarrad Toney was also wanted for a General Sessions Court Bench Warrant. Both are being held at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing,” Lt. Robert Kilgo wrote in the release.
