Top ranked Villanova has no problem with Creighton men’s basketball
Mikal Bridges scored 21 points to lead five players in double figures as top ranked Villanova earned its eighth straight win, 98-78 over Creighton last night in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The Wildcats tied a program record with 19 three-pointers and provided a nice diversion for a city consumed with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Super Bowl. Villanova finished 19-39 from three-point range for a clip of 49%. Marcus Foster led five players in double figures for the Bluejays with 20 points and three steals. The Wildcats, which led 49-34 at halftime, improves to 21-1 overall and 8-1 in the BIG EAST. Creighton falls to 17-6 overall and 7-4 in the conference.
