Daniel Renova sought
NEEDLES — Daniel Renova, 26, of the 300 block of North K Street, is being sought by police after a search warrant served on his residence turned up three additional suspects, 10 stolen firearms, 520 rounds of ammunition, suspected methamphetamine, black tar heroin, and items indicative of drug sales, according to police.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff Department, Needles’ Colorado River Station, reported responding to the location after hearing of a man with a gun that was possibly involved in a single vehicle traffic accident.
Deputies arriving to investigate an altercation coming from a nearby house prompted one suspect, a 27-year-old Mohave Valley man, to flee on foot. Quickly caught, he was identified as a suspect wanted in Mohave Valley for auto theft and the theft of firearms just prior to his apprehension in Needles.
Approaching the house where the altercation had taken place deputies knocked on windows and doors. No one answered. A search warrant was served.
Two people were located inside: a 21-year-old Mohave Valley resident and a 28-year-old Bullhead City resident, along with 10 of the stolen firearms, deputies said. Renova, the resident of the house, had left before deputies arrived, possibly with two more stolen firearms. He’s wanted in connection with possession of the stolen firearms and dangerous drugs, plus an outstanding $75,000 warrant.
The other three suspects were booked into the Needles jail for possession of stolen firearms; bail was set at $50,000.
Anyone with information in the ongoing investigation, or the whereabouts of Renova, is urged to contact Dep. Brandon Abell or Det. Nick Caronna at the Colorado River Station, 760-326-9200; or anonymously at 800-78-CRIME (27643) or at www.wetip.com. Reference Case 211701294.
