Social Studies: Helping a (Big) Sister out

February 28, 2017 GMT

Fashion and philanthropy often go hand in hand — a beautiful blend of art and soul. And March will kick off with the chance to get in on something good and stylish.

On Thursday, the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston hosts its annual Project Role Model Fashion Show at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. There, big and little sisters (along with Boston socials) will strut the runway for sweet charity.

VIPs including chef Jody Adams, retired New England Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo, Boston police Commissioner William B. Evans, state Sen. Linda Dorcena Forry and Jeff Bellows, VP of corporate citizenship and public affairs at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, will don looks from designers such as Michael DePaulo, Alice Walk, Sara Campbell and the shops at The Street in Chestnut Hill. Lauren Baker, first lady of Massachusetts, is slated to speak.

Tickets are $125. For more info, visit bigsister.org or call 617-236-5304.
