Win Opens Tourney Door for Chelmsford

Sophomore Meghan Goode led the way on offense with 16 points as the Chelmsford girls basketball team clinched a berth in the state tournament by rallying past Groton-Dunstable, 47-41, in a non-league game.

Sophomore Kat Slattery had a strong all-around game, finishing with 9 points, 13 rebounds and 2 steals for the Lions (10-10), who overcame a 32-16 halftime deficit.

Kate Krueger tallied 10 points and 6 rebounds. Hannah Polce scored 5 points and had 6 assists.

Hannah Wynn scored 13 points for G-D.

Katie Hurynowicz scored 14 points as Tyngsboro (16-4) ended the regular season on a 12-game winning streak.

Becca Lyons (8 points) and Sara Anselmo (7 points) played well for Tyngsboro.

Rachel Klock (5 points), Hannah Cochran (4 points), Sara MacDonald (4 points), Carrington McLeod (4 points) and Caitlin Feltus (4 points) played well for LHS (8-12).
