OAK CENTER — Katey Bellville will bring her long background in bluegrass music to the Oak Center General Store for a concert at 8 p.m. April 1.

Bellville is returning to the stage after giving birth to her second child in February. “This is my first full band show in quite a while,” she said.

Bellville said she was reared on old-time country blues and bluegrass, and she loves traditional string instruments. Her influences include Gillian Welch, Patty Griffin and the Carter Family. She appeared on “A Prairie Home Companion,” where she shared a song with Alison Krauss.

Tickets cost $15, with discounts available for low-income patrons; 507-753-2080.
