Kamala Harris plans Houston stop next week
U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris is bringing her campaign for the White House to Texas.
The California Democrat’s campaign announced she will hold a rally in Houston on March 23 at a location still yet to be announced.
Harris, the former California attorney general, has quickly emerged as one of the leading contenders for the Democratic presidential nomination. She’s been polling among the top three candidates in Iowa since she announced her candidacy for the White House on Jan. 27.

The Houston appearance will be Harris’ first big public event in Texas since she jumped into the race.
While there is still no location for the event, those wishing to attend are being asked to RSVP to the event here.
