Flagstaff expecting first measurable snowfall of season
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Flagstaff could see its first measurable snowfall of the season this week.
The northern Arizona city has been approaching the record of latest snowfall. If it comes as expected Tuesday into Wednesday and can be measured, it will be second on that list. The record is Jan. 15, 2006, when just a fraction of an inch of snow fell.
The National Weather Service is predicting between 1 and 3 inches of snow for Flagstaff and Williams. The North Rim of the Grand Canyon could get up to 4 inches.
Heber, Tsaile (say’-LEE’) and Alpine in eastern Arizona are expecting an inch or more.
Warmer temperatures will return later in the week.
