August 5, 2019

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — The police chief in Vermont’s largest city is on family and medical leave.

The Burlington mayor’s office announced Friday that during the absence of Chief Brandon del Pozo, Deputy Police Chief Jan Wright would serve as acting chief.

No reason was given for del Pozo’s leave or how long he might be out. He’s been chief since 2015.
