Valley Santa: Mother’s Cancer Diagnosis A Setback For Local Family

November 26, 2017 GMT

Jennifer, a married mother of five children, said this has been a difficult year for her family.

She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in March.

She underwent chemotherapy and was sick for a while, according to a letter she wrote to Valley Santa.

“I am now finished with chemotherapy and can gratefully say that I am an ovarian cancer survivor,” she wrote. “My tests recently have shown no evidence of disease. Praise and glory to God!”

Jennifer said she is feeling better now and is grateful she can now care for three younger children and two older daughters.

“My husband and daughters held our house together with the strength of God the whole time of my recovery,” she wrote. “I have a way to go but I am blessed beyond measure.”

Jennifer said she and her husband are grateful for the Valley Santa program and now find themselves in need of help with buying gifts for their three younger children.

“I would appreciate any help you can give us to buy gifts this Christmas,” Jennifer wrote. “May God bless you all!”
