Driver dies in Hartsville single-vehicle crash
HARTSVILLE, S.C. — The driver of an SUV involved in a single-vehicle crash Friday morning died.
The 8:05 a.m. crash happened on West Billy Farrow Highway about 4.7 miles east of Hartsville, said Trooper First Class Tyler Tidwell of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Tidwell said the driver of the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer was westbound when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road and into a ditch before it rolled several times and ejected the driver. The driver died later at a Hartsville-area hospital.
The Darlington County Coroner’s Office hadn’t yet released the identity of the crash victim.
