North Carolina police arrest 2 in 2017 shooting death
LEXINGTON, N.C. (AP) — Police in North Carolina have arrested two men in connection with a shooting death in 2017.
The Winston-Salem Journal reports Lexington police said they arrested 19-year-olds Joshua Norman and Rashemel Good this week and charged both men with multiple offenses, including first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
According to police, Norman was arrested Wednesday at the Davidson County jail, where he was being held for a shooting one year ago. Good was arrested at the Mecklenburg County jail, where police said he was serving a 150-day sentence on a domestic-violence-related charge.
Officers responding to a reported shooting on April 17, 2017, found Jonathan White injured. He died of his injuries a few hours later. Detectives believe robbery was the motive in the shooting.
