SAN DIEGO (AP) — The San Diego Padres have placed outfielder Wil Myers on the 10-day disabled list with a strained left oblique and recalled outfielder Travis Jankowski from Triple-A El Paso.

Myers was hurt while swinging at a pitch in Saturday night’s 12-2 win against the New York Mets. He stayed in for one more pitch and then came out.

Earlier this season, Myers missed 15 games on the DL with nerve irritation in his right arm.

Jankowski, who was on the Padres’ opening day roster in 2016 and 2017, was riding an eight-game hitting streak at El Paso. Overall, he had a homer and four doubles for El Paso.
