1 killed in Defiance house fire
One person died early Friday in a Defiance, Ohio, house fire, the county sheriff’s department said.
Firefighters were called to the house fire in the 4300 block of East Rolling Meadows Boulevard shortly after 1 a.m. and found the body at 1:51 a.m., the sheriff’s office said.
The residence is owned by Junior W. Dockery. However, Dockery is currently living outside the United States, police said.
The Lucas County coroner’s office in Toledo will determine the identity of the victim.
The case is being investigated by the county sheriff’s and coroner’s offices, the Noble Township Fire Department and the state fire marshal’s office.
