Jail inmate dies after being found unresponsive
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — An official says a West Virginia jail inmate has died after being found unresponsive in his cell.
West Virginia Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety Director of Communications Lawrence Messina told WCHS-TV that employees at Western Regional Jail gave medical assistance to Chad Totten after finding him unresponsive early Monday.
Messina said Totten was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. His body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
