Tiger Woods off to rough start at PGA championship
Coming off his first major win since 2008, Tiger Woods opened as the favorite to win the PGA Championship this weekend at Bethpaige Black inFarmington, New York.
So far, Woods is off to a rough start.
Through his first nine holes Thursday, Woods finished 3-over par tied for 54th place. He hit only one birdie and double-bogeyed twice. The 43-year-old still has nine holes left to play on the day.
Woods, who won the Masters last month, birdied on 15 and double-bogeyed on 10 and 17. Woods played the back nine holes first.
Woods is seeking his 16th major.
