November 7, 1999

PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Three Temple players were suspended for Sunday’s exhibition game for undisclosed team violations.

Coach John Chaney suspended forward Lamont Barnes, center Kevin Lyde and guard Lynn Greer for the 94-51 victory over Athletes in Action.

Guard Pepe Sanchez also missed the game after spraining his right ankle in practice.

Sanchez’s injury is not considered serious and he is expected to play in Temple’s next preseason game, Nov. 15 against Foreign Exhibition. Barnes, Lyde and Sanchez are returning starters, while Greer is expected to be the sixth man.

Alex Wesby had 23 points and nine rebounds for Temple against AIA, while Ronald Rollerson added 17 points, on 6-of-9 shooting, and 11 rebounds.
