Annie Camin’s boho style is perfect for busy life as business owner, mom: Fashion Flash (photos)

Annie Camin, 35, Lyndhurst

Owner of Sit ’N Stay Pet Solutions, stay-at-home mom.

I was a psychology major, I graduated from Cleveland State University. I don’t think that there is one thing that drew me to fashion or caused me to love it. My mom taught me to dress for my shape and to be appropriate. If I wear something super short, it won’t also be low cut.

Sit ’N Stay Pet Solutions is our six year old dog walking and pet sitting business. I run it with my husband who works with many of the pets while I take care of the kids. We also have a staff of independent contractors. We’re mostly on the east side right now. We are background checked and we will show up when we’re expected to. Find out everything we offer at sitnstaypetsolutions.com.

I keep it classy, but also a little spicy. There’s always some Bohemian in my look. I want comfortable and functional clothing because I have three kids under the age of four. I don’t choose looks off of a mannequin. I’ve always been interested in putting things together myself and seeing if they work. I follow what’s going on in fashion on Instagram and on some blogs. Before kids, when I had a social life, it was always fun to put looks together and read magazines and study the trends.

I’ve recently had to cut out dairy and have become very interested in vegan cooking. I love to cook.

I do Pilates, go to the gym and I do some yoga. I also chase kids all day.

Fashion Inspiration:

I’m aware of trends and if I feel that I can pull it off, I’ll try it. I stick with some classic things, like great jeans and clothes that fit well. I try to hold on to some of my identity other than being a stay-at-home mom. So it’s important for me to get dressed in a look, even if it’s jeans and fun shoes.

Besides my mother, I love Sarah Jessica Parker. I watched “Sex in the City” and she is the ultimate style icon in my book. I also like the way Chrissy Teigen dresses.

Designers and brands:

I like Chloe. I can’t afford it but the styles have a hint of boho. I don’t pay too much attention to designers. I like finding Cynthia Rowley pieces at Marshalls. The brand is easy and comfortable I like Max Studio and Calvin Klein, as well.

My biggest rule is to dress for my body type. My mother taught me that.

Figure out your own style and don’t dress off the mannequin.

Dream fashion item:

A really solid pair of quality black boots with heels that I could wear with either a dress or jeans.

I like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Burlington Coat Factory and I shop online because I have no time to go to stores. I like Jane.com and H&M, they have good trends for less. My maternity jeans were from H&M and they were a workhorse, they were great.

Pet peeves:

People should not wear clothes that are too small or too big for them.

Cleveland is:

Cleveland is amazing!

What’s next:

I’d like to continue to grow the business, it’s only six years old.

Perfect shopping companion:

Sarah Jessica Parker, she’s amazing.

If you weren’t a stay at home mom and business owner:

I would probably be a psychologist, counselor or therapist.
