Orchids and Onions: Sunday, January 27, 2019

January 28, 2019 GMT

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Orchids to Jack and Sharon for the very generous donation to the Lake Havasu High School Choir Club. Your gift benefit many students!

Onions to the confrontational, self-righteous, cheese-head in the black Silverado for not being able to admit that you were wrong for illegally parking in a handicap space without a placard.

Orchids to LHC Street Department for fixing. Jamaica and McCulloch intersection. Much better! Doug Browning

Orchids to the couple that sold us their 2007 Chevy Malibu. Our new car looks and handles great. Very clean inside and the brakes and signal lights appear to have been used very little.

Onions to the LHC officials for not properly flying our nation’s flag by London Bridge. Before crossing bridge to get to the island the three flags on the north are displayed incorrectly. The US Flag Code states that the flag of the USA should be at the center of, and at the highest point, when flown with other flags. That is not the case there, all three flags are at the same height with the British flag in the middle.

Onions to the person responsible for having “Another One Bites The Dust” played at our friend’s remembrance memorial. Although the song was halted before it finished, irreparable emotional damage was done. To the attendee cackling outloud shame, shame. We believe you put the DJ up to such!

Orchids to Deborah Miller with State Farm for being extremely thorough and guiding me through my first life insurance policy! Extremely thankful for her and her staff.
