Orchids and Onions: Thursday, March 21, 2019

March 21, 2019 GMT

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Orchids to Carissa, Faith, Nathan and Michael at Cha-Bones who always have taken great care of us. The service is always fantastic. Thanks again, Tuesday regulars.

Onions to our local mail service. Two lost packages in past six months. Sellers show receipt at the local post office, but P.O. denies it. Tried to call the P.O., but lines were busy all day/night, even Sunday. On the bright side, I get to visit with neighbors daily as we exchange mistakenly delivered mail.

Orchids to Calvary Baptist for an amazing breakfast spread they provided for our Nautilus Elementary team. It was delicious. What a way to start our day! Thank you very much for your continued support of LHUSD. We appreciate you!

Onions to the law enforcement that use their authority just to speed and go faster – not even for a call in, which I have witnessed several times.

Orchids, and a big thank you to the Over the Hill Gang car club for a fun lunch run down to Havasu Springs. We enjoyed the ″mini ″ car show at Sara Park before the run. Great people, good food, and more money raised for Havasu High School charities. Well done.

Onions to the Monday night spaghetti crew for cutting the noodles into short pieces and continue to do so after numerous complaints. Traditionally spaghetti is eaten with a fork that is dug into the noodles and twirled around the fork. If members want short-short noodles give them a knife and a spoon!

Orchids to Casa Serrano Mexican Restaurant for another wonderful birthday lunch. Great food with excellent service and prices. Wouldn’t dream of celebrating anywhere else. Thank you again.

Onions to the airport TVs showing only CNN news. 93 percent negative reporting on president Trump...around the clock. Not fair and balanced!

Orchids to our police department. In the past month, I have had to call to them twice to check out some suspicious activity in our parking lot. They showed up quickly and were there to protect our store and the employees. I can’t say thank you enough for all you do to help out, dispatch was also very helpful and kind.
