Man with long history of exposing himself arrested again
Less than a week after pleading guilty to exposing himself outside of a Southeast Rochester business, a city man was arrested again for allegedly exposing himself twice on Monday.
Taylor Gehrking, 35, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. Monday after he allegedly exposed himself to a jogger and another person, according to Rochester Police Capt. John Sherwin.
An officer in a parking lot in the area of 6th Avenue and 2nd Street NW was approached by a 27-year-old woman Monday afternoon who said a man had just exposed his genitals to her on the bike path, Sherwin said. The woman told police the man was last seen running across the bridge at 9th Avenue and 5th Street Northwest.
While officers were looking for the man, another call came in that a man exposed himself in the area of the United Way building on West Center Street, Sherwin said. The man was found by police in a backyard in the 800-block of Fifth Street Northwest and was identified by the jogger as being the same man, Sherwin said.
Gehrking is expected to be arraigned on a gross misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure.
Sherwin said two other incidents of Gehrking allegedly exposing himself earlier this summer have been sent to the City Attorney.
According to Olmsted County court records, Gehrking pleaded guilty on Thursday to a gross misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure for an incident in March 2018.
