South Carolina woman charged in May beating death
AIKEN, S.C. (AP) — Sheriff’s deputies in South Carolina have arrested a woman in the beating death of a 76-year-old man.
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office told news outlets that 38-year-old Nikki Price of Columbia has been arrested and charged with murder.
Capt. Eric Abdullah said that Price is charged with killing Kenneth Carlisle Goodwin, whose body was found under a tarp at his home in the Wagner area on Memorial Day.
An autopsy showed that Goodwin died from blows to the head and body.
Lexington County sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher Wayne Trueblood of Gaston in July and charged him in Goodwin’s death.
Abdullah says Price and Trueblood were in a relationship when Goodwin was killed. Investigators have not said how the suspects knew Goodwin.
Deputies have not released a motive in the death.
