A 24-year-old Southwest Philadelphia woman surrendered to police on Monday after she was suspected of being one of four people who entered a Germantown apartment building last month and stole three pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes, one Louis Vuitton handbag and one Gucci handbag, valued at a total of $7,000.

Annette Rodriguez, of the 5800 block of Florence Avenue, turned herself in to Northwest Detectives on Monday night after being identified by surveillance video images, police said Thursday.

The theft occurred about 10:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Wayne Court Apartments on the 5400 block of Wayne Avenue. Police said Rodriguez and three other people — a woman and two men —were able to enter the building, then forced open the door to one of the apartments, where they stole the luxury goods.

Lt. Dan Brooks, of Northwest Detectives, said Thursday the victim was not in her apartment at the time. He said she is the former girlfriend of the man whom Rodriguez is currently dating.

He did not know if Rodriguez’s boyfriend was part of the heist. The three other people who allegedly participating in the theft have not been arrested, but police have leads on one through social media and surveillance videos, Brooks said.

Brooks said the apartment building’s surveillance video system was very helpful, as was video picked up by a SEPTA bus on its route. The bus video picked up the license plate of a red Honda, in which Rodriguez and her three alleged conspirators fled in after the theft, he said.
