BROOKFIELD 1 dead in Candlewood Lake incident
BROOKFIELD — A man died after a motorboat capsized in Candlewood Lake Sunday afternoon, according to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
The DEEP reported around 12:30 p.m. Environmental Conservation officers responded to a report of a capsized 17-foot motorboat. The men were recovered; one was reported as “safe and unharmed,” and the other was taken to Danbury Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
DEEP officials said no more information would be released related to the incident Sunday.
